Emily McLaughlin, Principal & Executive Coach
Emily McLaughlin is Founder and Principal of THE CADNUM GROUP, an Executive Coaching Consultancy based in New York City, which she launched in 2015 after an extensive international business career. Emily draws upon twenty years plus management experience and talent development in International Banking and Finance.
Emily’s practical, hands-on experience has been gained in a demanding professional environment where the ability to lead, influence and persuade was determined against a real time competitive market backdrop. Throughout her formal career in London, Emily recruited, trained and developed teams to great success, and later spearheaded recruitment and development of high-potential talent during company-wide expansion.
Emily holds a degree in Industrial and Nuclear Engineering from Virginia Tech. She has previously held Directorships in London’s two premier investment firms, Kleinwort Benson Investment Management and Foreign and Colonial Asset Managers where she was appointed the first female director in the venerable firm’s 147-year history.

Ellen M. Ardrey, Senior Advisor
With over 25 years of experience in the Federal and National Intelligence Community, Ellen brings to THE CADNUM GROUP, a wealth of practical experience in human capital management, leader and employee development, and organizational change management. She began her career as an intelligence officer in the United States Air Force, serving in positions of increased scope and complexity. Following her military career, she worked as a program manager in a commercial information technology company. Returning to Government service she has served in executive positions throughout the Department of Defense and led human capital efforts in agencies with worldwide operations and over 15,000 employees. She is also the proud mother of four school-age children and has a compassionate understanding of the challenges in managing work-life balance.
Ellen is a graduate of Duke University and the University of Colorado, and has completed executive programs at Harvard University, Northwestern University, the University of North Carolina, and Center for Creative Leadership.
Carolyn S. Libman, Advisor
Carolyn is Assistant Vice President of Technology and HR Development Programs at PNC Financial Services Group. The “voice of millennials”, Carolyn brings to The Cadnum Group a discerning eye to the many strengths and diverse talents of this dynamic group.
Carolyn designed and implemented the development program which supports a strong talent pipeline for both the Technology and HR organizations. She oversees performance management, career coaching, mentoring, facilitation and coordination of technical and soft skill training for associates before placement within various divisions within the bank.
As part of the Group’s commitment to transformational learning, Carolyn chairs the Governance Committee which defines program ROI targets, aligns business development programs and measures employee engagement.
She is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, with a BFA in fine arts. She has an MFA from University of Florida, where she was Adjunct Assistant Professor. She was Assistant Director of Admissions, at The Art Institute of Washington before accepting the developmental role with PNC Financial Services Group.
